Anna Slater & Ted

We can’t thank Alex enough for her incredible support. When we first reached out, we felt stuck, overwhelmed and at a bit of a loss. One thing we knew for certain was if we didn’t seek help, we were putting ourselves and our dog Ted at risk. Risk of causing an accident with innocent people. Alex is calm and deeply compassionate not only to Ted but for us navigating a tough situation. Alex has an ability to understand a dog’s unique personality and has a positive, respectful approach full of trust and communication. We have had a consultation and one lesson so far and the difference we are already seeing is remarkable. We haven’t got blinkers on, we know Ted will never be perfect but Alex is giving us the tools so we can be better for Ted. She empowers us with confidence and feedback so we can continue to progress at home. Ted’s confidence and behaviour has changed in such a small amount of time, we know he’s eager to learn and is a quick learner, sometimes it’s us having to keep up with him! We are already feeling relief instead of struggling in frustration and sadness. The way Ted responded with Alex in our consultation is all we needed to know, we could see and hear that Alex genuinely cares and we are already seeing results without compromising Ted’s wellbeing. Alex took into consideration Ted’s health needs straight away and everything we do is tailored to him (and us). I don’t think either of us, including Ted, want to come to the end of the training plan…. Ted says that training is an ever evolving process and we agree

Katie Medley, Betty & Mabel

Alex has been working with us for a few weeks now with our 2 dogs who needed training in everything as they were very spoilt pooches. in the last few weeks we have built a much better bond with our dogs by going back to basics & starting from scratch. The difference in behaviour, obedience & calmness is unbelievable. we can now sit & have a coffee whilst out in peace instead of having to apologise to people about them barking at everyone for attention. We really cannot recommend this amazing lady enough, shes our not so little miracle worker

Thalia & Austin

Life changing results, we were in a predicament where we might have had to give up on our Rescue Dog for barking constantly, only a few sessions and we noticed a remarkable difference in Austin's behaviour at home. brilliant advice, support and flexibility, extremely knowledgeable. Theres still work to be done with our boy but we know if we ever need help or advice who to call! A brilliant selfless lady who has helped our family in a great time of need, could not recommend her anymore! Our home is a lot happier and so is Austin. x

Becky Sinclair & Ted

Could not recommend Alex enough. Before her lessons, walks weren’t enjoyable for either pawrent or Ted. We were waiting for a freak out or on the end of a lead being taken for a walk. Now we’re confident to take Ted on our own and try out new environments. He’s a much happier dog and we are all eternally grateful. Just listen, do your homework and you’ll have a new dog.

Richard Farrant & Bruce

Alex has been training both myself and Bruce, Its an eye opening process after having multiple dogs over the years I have learnt that a few simple steps to start with created a much better bond with my dog.

From being concerned to what Bruce was going to do to other people and dogs to now knowing how to handle problems that arise and for me to be able to trust he will do the correct thing.

His recall is really good now, so good that I took him into the hills and he was off lead for 1 ½ hours without any recall issues.

We are currently having a few weeks to practice what we both have learnt and then im going to ask Alex to revisit and start some other aspects of training.

Definitely recommend Alex, when she first told me that I could contact her day or night with any issues she really means it.

Just listen to her, carry out the plan and do the homework

Kay Smith & Blu

So, we asked on social media for a good trainer and 3 Mutts & a blonde was recommended numerous times.

We lost our Airedale suddenly and our little lad (Kerry Blue Terrier) was struggling with separation anxiety. We couldn’t leave him on his own. It was awful to see him plus his reactivity with other dogs was a problem after being chased by 2 huskies at 10 months old. In hindsight we should have got help with him sooner but we didn’t and it is what it is.

Alex asked loads of questions about Blu and really delved into all his issues. We had an initial consultation where she came to our house to meet us all. We were given so much good information. The best thing ever was changing his food. Who would have even thought that? Not me for sure! So, from having the most fussiest eater ever with his meals taking literally 30 - 45 minutes to eat it, even if he did eat it. Most times he just left it. He had ham, cheese, wet food, treats, you name it we tried it! We changed him to the food Alex recommended, OMG, best thing ever. Stopped all his treats, cheese, ham and wet food. We used it to crate train him. Recall him. Amazing. So, from feeding him from his bowl which was a chore, we now scatter his food in his crate, say yes and he comes to us or just throw it all over the floor and say yes and he hoovers it up! He’s never been food orientated and would never even take a treat when out. He now focuses on his kibble when out and will sit or down when a dog comes past. Timing is key as Alex said, we have to get it right so he focuses on us. It’s hard work but it’s paying off. He was always focusing on what was out there and what he needed to protect himself and us from. Alex has sorted this. She said we needed to tap into his prey drive as a terrier so we got him a tug toy as she suggested. 10 minutes of TUG before our walk and he was so much calmer. That said I had blisters and thought I might need a shoulder replacement! we had markers to work with, I didn’t have a clue! Good , yes, bed, nope. I did get it though eventually. Alex was very patient, didn’t judge us if we’d not done something as part of our training programme right. She was so so supportive and gave me the confidence to believe Blu could get better with his issues. Next was the slip collar! I thought I’d squashed his windpipe at one point but with consistency we got it and now can walk on a loose lead lovely. He’s now muzzled trained if we need it. Amazing. Everything is so much calmer, better and positive. I need to add he’s 7 and a half so please don’t ever think it’s too late. The best thing ever was when Alex trusted Blu with her perfectly trained girl, Nessie. We had an off lead walk, Blu muzzled. Then Alex told me to take his muzzle off. Both off lead, no drama, so under control. I won’t mention the highlight of this Sunday session! I honestly can’t recommend Alex enough. If you have any issues with your dog then 100% you need to get in touch! She really is amazing at what she does. I think we will be friends outside our training! So so good!
